John got back from Iraq and came for a visit last weekend... So i took him to New Orleans to do the standard tourist thing....

The weekend was really nice... however my faith in humans was once again shattered... apparently animals in cages at the zoo are not safe... there was this girl poking a poor cat (cant remember what type it was, mountain lion? something... a big cat) with a large reed, making it really mad... and what was horrible was that here parents were standing right there watching her do it, saying nothing.... it would be one thing if it was just here -- teenagers do stupid things... but the fact that the parents were there laughing totally pissed me off, i wanted to get a large reed and poke her.... im sure here parents wouldnt laugh then... and then people threw water bottles and cups and what not at the gators, im assuming they were trying to get them to move... but still, and i saw one guy throw ice at the gator to piss it off... i wanted to smack him upside the back of his head, and knock him over the railing and into the gator pond... hehe... and this guy wasnt young, he was definitly in his late 20's early 30's so he should know better!!!!!!!!!! People can be so horrible sometimes, no wonder the world is in the state its in :(...
