woohooo $2.53 for gas today :)... i filled up my tank on 45 dollars vs the 65 i have been spending... its sad when 2.53 sounds cheap :(... oh well...

yet again... not like that... i have a date to meet with my comitte to officially sign off on my prospectus... its the 28th... it would be next week, but mark (one of my comittee members) has "emergency field work" next week... so yay... now i have this week to add some stuff to it and give it to cb for one more read over this weekend, and then i can give all a final copy :)... yay... he is also coming to look at my cores, i found this odd blue stuff that no one here knows what it is... maybe he will have a clue, i hope so... if not its either going in the mass spec or under a SEM scope so we can figure out what its made of :)... yay for interesting random blue stuff!

Meet BOB...

My roomate, Mike, is in the process of setting up a salt water aquarium, so far there is not alot.. coral, snails and hermit crabs... but he just added this... its a clown fish (like nemo) and well mike wasnt going to name him, so i decided to ... and well BOB it is :)... hes a good fish, he feeds his aenemoni (sp??) before he feeds himself... good bob!!!!!!!

yes they say he will hit florida and then go inland... however one might recal that this is the exact same projection that was given to Katrina when she was in that area... just an interesting tidbit of info... so here at NASA we are on level 4 conditions... meaning gas up all govt vehicles and make note of anything that will have to be tied down in case we move to level 3 conditions and notify those in charge... now if we get to level 3-- only essential personnel are allowed on site... and since its a holiday coming up... they have decided to take this seriously... cause say it does come this way... everyone will be out of town prior to it hitting and things will need to be taken care of before they head out... anyways... doubt he will come this way... but just in case... find your waiders and your rain coat :)

well i am officially 10lbs heavier than amanda's "103lbs of girr"... not good... especially as how i am not trying to lose weight.... just a bit of depression getting ahold of me i guess... but honestly its not so surprising seeing as how i am never hungry and rarley get the urge to eat... :( I usually eat cause others are around, and i dont like being quesioned.... :( ............ :(

finnish filtering... just got to clean up... and then go home and go to bed!!!!!!!!!1 YAY my bed has been calling my name for a couple of hours now...

5:02am

so only 5 bottles left... depending on how turbid they are... it could be a while we will see... so its snack time, coke and milky way (since there is no dr pepper or m&m's :()... anyway you ever wonder what coke must have tasted like when it had cocain in it?? now i have no idea if cocain has a tast? but i am sure it altered the flavor somewhat.... i wonder if the lack of cocain in coke is the reason that i along with many others like some of the flavored cokes better (aka cherry coke)... maybe coke isnt really supposed to tast the way it does, it needs an extra something... now dont get me wrong i like plane old coke just find... but just wondering... hum... oh well... back to watching water drip.... later

3 bottle completly filtered, three in the process...many more to go... this really sucks!!!!! I am so very bored, and it got cold in here all of a sudden :(... . OH and the vending machine is out of DR. PEPPER!!! There is still coke, so the world will not end... but still... i like to mix it up between the two... and no M&M's in the vending machine :(... not even penut ones :(... I really want M&M's right now, bastard vending machine fillers :(.... ARG...

Midnight...

well it is day two of filtering water.... and it appears to be going slower than it did last night :( that does not bode well... i am using a bigger filtering apparatus... so i can filter 6 things at a time vs the 4 i was using last night... however these samples are more turbid, and are taking longer to filter... so it doesnt really help much having the extra two... :( oh well... its midnight i have been doing this since 8:30 and have only finnished two bottles... have eleven to go :(.... oh i hope i can get out of here before 7:00... cause i have to come in tomorrow to weigh all the filters, they want all the data by monday. And I was hoping to do some of my stuff on saturday (which i havent touched because of this crap) and i was hoping to "take off" sunday to do laundry and clean my room and bathroom... i am running out of normal clothes or i am gonna have to start dressing up for work... which when dealing with mud doesnt work out so well... anyways... im bored :(... filtering water sucks, and what makes it worse is that this is not for my research, its CB's stuff... :(... if it was mine i would atleast feel a little bit better about it :(... oh well... ill probably be back on in a few hours.... later... hope you all are sleeping well

roomate will be leaving for work right around now... still in lab... waiting for last 200 ml of this one sample to finnish... hopefully that will occur within the next twenty minutes, or well before 7:00... then half an hour drive home... 7:30... and bed... i should be here at noon... however i think i am gonna streatch it and get up at noon... oh tomorrow is gonna be a long! day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got tired of waiting... stole more pumps and equipment from other labs... now have 4 pumps going vs two... just started 13, 14, 15, 16.... just gotta filter 1L of each... its still gonna be a while :(.... looks like i will be getting home, as mike is leaving for work... well atleast he wont beable to give me a hard time about being up before me... oh well
